Just something… the extra space in the case for the charger is a good place to keep something (pencils, erasers to name a few).

You never know when you need something and volia! It’s in the case!

How to rate your password

First go to system prefrences, then click on accounts and change password. There will be a little key next to “new password” click on it, it will show you a password, delete that one and type in yours, there is a bar underneath, the better the password is, the more of the bar will be filled up.

Gimp

There will be an in depth presentation on the program Gimp in the near future. It will be presented by two anonymous iteam kids who have extensive experience with the program. This program has many practical world applications, and will be used next year in art class. Furthermore, photoshop like programs such as this, can be used in a career as graphic designer. It is a fun application that doubles as an art form. The presentation will teach you all of the ins and outs, explaining how to use the program and how to create nice images with it. There are many complications with programs like this, which make it difficult to figure out on your own. We will demonstrate, then leave you to your own devices to discover the awesome power of Gimp!

Can I use the laptop for places like MySpace or FaceBook at home?

No- you should not be engaging on any online sites such as those on the laptop the school issued you. Use your home computer for that. Also, you shouldn’t be going on instant messaging on the laptop either- sites like aim, yahoo chat, google chat, imeem are all for home computers- not the school laptop.

Google Earth-Where It Starts

When you open Google Earth, it probably goes to where you can see the United States. If you want to change it so when you open it it goes to your house or something, what you do is go to the spot that you want to be your start, then go to Edit and scroll down to Snapshot View. It should make that where you start. Restart Google Earth to see if it works.

Surfing The Web and Taking Notes at The Same Time!

First, you have to open noteshare and open a new notebook, or an existing notebook (to add extra notes [if you want]). Then you press outline (on the top menu bar) and select new web entry. This should open an entry in a browser form. Now all you have to do is type in a URL and you can surf the web (exactly like safari) and type notes all on one program window without the hassle of changing from one program to another!
