When you open Google Earth, it probably goes to where you can see the United States. If you want to change it so when you open it it goes to your house or something, what you do is go to the spot that you want to be your start, then go to Edit and scroll down to Snapshot View. It should make that where you start. Restart Google Earth to see if it works.
